Milton Keynes Brass was delighted to play their part in The Parks Trust Jubilee Beacon Lighting Ceremony, part of Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations which are taking place to commemorate 70 years of service to her country. The band played a range of British music, including classics such as Rule Britannia, Trumpet Voluntary, Music from the Royal Fireworks mixed in with some singalong favourites including The Floral Dance and Delilah. All went down very well with the large audience gathered for the event.
At the same time our Principal Cornet player, Matt Ball, was playing the specially written Bugle call, "Majesty", at an event for Walton Community Council for the lighting of their Platinum Jubilee Beacon. The band have a few days off before playing at Cosgrove Park (private event) and then Hanslope Street Party on Sunday, 5 June. The Hanslope event is free for anyone to attend so come along and listen to the band from 4-5pm.
