MK Brass amongst the prizes at the Oxfordshire and District Brass Band Association (ODBBA) contest

On Sunday 26 February the band descended to the Oxfordshire and District Brass Band Association (ODBBA) Winter Contest to debut the regional test piece amongst 5 other bands from the First Section. The event was adjudicated by Alan Duguid.

Preparation was well underway for our test piece with the band keen to put the learning from our rehearsal with Michael Fowles into practise.

Following our performance the band achieved second place and also won awards for Best Bass Section and Best Cornet for Principal Cornet Matt Ball. With three weeks remaining until our Area Contest, a chance to improve the piece some more there are exciting times ahead.

The pictures below show Matt Ball and Helen Clifton picking up the awards in a very sunny hall!
