Our history

Milton Keynes Brass was formed in 1984 as Broseley Brass, named after local house builder, Broseley Homes who provided the band with a set of instruments and funding for music. The name was changed in 2009 to Milton Keynes Brass to reflect the locality it serves.

Through regional and national brass band competitions the band rose from the Fourth to the Championship Section and after some time in the First section has recently returned to  competing in the Championship Section.

Having won prizes in most of the contests that the band has recently entered, Milton Keynes Brass is ranked in the top 200 Brass Bands in the World and is actively seeking promotion to the top flight under our Musical Director, Matt Brown.
